Siblings Ton and Maria Castañé opened a breakfast bar on the ground floor of the family home more than fifty years ago, offering service exclusively on pleasant summer days. Their nephews, Salvador and Maria, carried on the family business as best they could. When Salvador married Concepción, the pair took over the restaurant, eventually passing it on to their three children, Salvador, Pau, and Berta, who currently run the show. In 2013, the family decided to expand by annexing the Sa Malica restaurant. As a result, diners can now enjoy an expansive terrace with unbeatable views of the Bay of Blanes and the Palomera, all the while sampling tasty home-cooked seafood.
