Ferran Muñoz worked for 15 years in Anoia restaurants, and 15 years ago he opened Llenegues in a building that once housed a store owned by his family. Today his son, Eric, who studies hospitality in Barcelona, helps out from time to time, as do his parents. Muñoz chose the name because of his huge enthusiasm for mushrooms, (llenegues is a type of mushroom), which he incorporates into his recipes in surprising ways. The clientele is highly varied, ranging from locals to foreigners who deviate from their regular route to dine at this exceptional restaurant. Cod with garlic and oil, oxtail, escudella, and homemade cannelloni are some of the highlights of the menu.
