This restaurant is run by the Escoda Sanahuja family who named it after the hill it sits on, which is surrounded by vineyards and sweeping natural views. Joan Ramon, who has two decades of winegrowing experience, and his wife Maria Carmen turned this traditional Catalan farmhouse into a vineyard so they could make their own eco-friendly wines. Three years ago, the two opened a restaurant with help from an American chef called Kaya Jacobs, transforming the farmhouse into a place their customers can enjoy good food and sample fine wine. The cuisine here manages to be modern, traditional and homemade at the same time, always based on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Among its star dishes are the mussels with escabeche, the eggs with broccoli and anchovies and the fennel jam.
