Restaurant manager, Mariano Benet, and head chef, Maite Sans, are the third generation to operate this Mas de Barberans restaurant from its old 1918 building. Some 60 years ago, the edifice was used as the House of the People. Located, as its name infers, on a street corner in town, the restaurant boasts a large terrace to enjoy the summer breeze. Its cuisine takes advantage of local produce, with innovative dishes and flavours that vary with the seasons. For example, mushrooms adorn the menu during the corresponding season, as does game meat during hunting season. Two of its standout dishes are the scrambled mushrooms and slow-cooked suckling lamb.
