Júlia and her partner Roc run this magnificent restaurant, which is
hidden behind the national highway (N-II) that runs along much of
the Mediterranean coast and is surrounded by Maresme’s agricultural
fields. The couple opened Les Cinc Sènies in 2013, although each
founder had been in the restaurant business for almost 20 years before
that. The establishment lies in an old renovated house with beautiful
wooden doors, grand antique mirrors, and gorgeous dining tables. The
menu is a clear tribute to the best of Catalan cuisine, including delicious
dishes from the mountains and the sea: fideuás, snails, and chargrilled
meats accompanied by fresh vegetables and homemade desserts. With
this space, Julia and Roc have found a way to do what they love, and
the place has become famous almost entirely through word of mouth.
