The father of the current owners opened this place in 1982 to offer sausages with toast, pâtés and salads, an approach which was a little unusual at the time. Over the years, the menu of grilled meats and other dishes was expanded using quality produce. The team cook with a charcoal grill, which creates a more intense flavour when grilling things like snails, vegetables, fish and meat. The process isn’t so much about having an elaborate kitchen, but rather working with the produce in the right way, and cooking it to perfection. Their desserts come from a small homemade and organic producer. Currently, the two children – Salvador in the kitchen and Olga in the dining room – run the restaurant, which maintains a rustic air and uses contemporary ingredients and recipes.
