In the 1960s, Salvador Claret began a restaurant in an ideal location next to the N-II Highway from Barcelona to France. He named it the Rolls Hostel because he owned one of the largest collections of classic cars in Spain. Later, the parents of the current owner, Enriqueta and Antonio, took over the reins and continued serving tasty home-style meals to travelers. Many of the current customers are truck drivers who come to eat good food 24 hours a day. These days, the eldest son Francesc manages the place, with help from his sister-in-law, Teresa. The two have renewed the menu a little, serving more elaborate dishes made from seasonal locally sourced produce. Nevertheless, the food bar is still open 24 hours every day of the year. A point of interest is that they’ve kept the classic car museum open to visitors next door.
