This marvellous stone building dates back to 1730 and still retains its magnificent medieval style arches today, despite the fact the farmhouse has been converted into a grocery store and a restaurant over the years. Jaume and Conxita, who were the current owner’s parents, had the opportunity to take over the tavern in 1975, eventually settling here with their five children. One of these children, Francesc, currently runs this elegant restaurant together with his wife Meritxell, which is famous for its large windows that afford sweeping mountain views. Since Francesc took over the kitchen, Fonda Xesc has begun serving more modern, light, and seasonal cuisine.
