It originally opened as the Posada de la Estrella (Star Inn), where sailors who’d just come into port would go to eat and sleep. The current owners are the fourth generation of the family to work here and have shaped its direction in recent years. Pepi, who studied at the Hofmann Hospitality School, works the kitchen while her husband Jordi manages the dining room. One day, a friend commented on how difficult it was to find Ebro cuisine in the city, which inspired them to specialize in the fish and gastronomy of the Delta. The duo prefers to buy products from people they know: pâtés and meats come from a friend in Girona, and the vegetables from friends who run a farm. This approach has allowed them to weave a supply network of local producers.
