This place is pretty special. Just to get there, you’ve got to journey along the narrow roads that cross the hundreds of rice fields of the Ebro Delta. The tastefully decorated and welcoming restaurant was once the grandmother’s cabin, of which granddaughter Carmen and her husband saw potential and decided to transform into a restaurant. Their kitchen specialises in using produce from the delta (as it had to be), with their standout dishes being rice with a choice of ingredients such as eel, duck, mantis shrimp, nettles or prawns. The team buys fresh produce from the La Ràpita fish market and solely uses rice from the delta. These days, their children – Joel in the kitchen and Eric in the dining room – help run this business that was born from intuition and has garnered the respect and loyalty of their customers.
