This building was constructed in the 60s and renovated by the second generation of the family, Rosa and Joan, in 1975. Previously, the grandparents ran a well-known grocery store there. However, the establishment wasn’t ideal, so they demolished and rebuilt it as a restaurant and inn. Initially, their clientele were mostly labourers working on the Susqueda reservoir or other nearby projects. Inside, they prepare home-style cuisine from seasonal produce which has been adapted to the new times and the new tastes. Teresa and Jordi of the third generation currently run the family business with their son, Jordi. The team offers Catalan cuisine, typically either at low temperatures or by vacuum cooking. Their star dishes include paella, snails, squid, roast duck, cannelloni, and the famous “patatas Tarrés”.
