Located between Girona and La Garrotxa lies this small stone-brick
restaurant, which Quima and her husband Xevi opened after working
a few years in the hospitality business. The couple fell in love with
this place at first sight and converted it into the La Vall of today. On
the ground floor is a restaurant specializing in traditional stews and
grilled Girona and Iberian meats, while up top is a seven-room hotel.
Much like other establishments in the region, they open the kitchen
early to serve a buffet breakfast exactly how their customers want:
tasty and abundant to start the day with plenty of energy, with delicacies
such as tripe, calamari, and veal with mushrooms.
