In 2007, Jordi and Gemma decided to start up this self-sufficiency project which they’d been planning for some time. To promote various environmental awareness activities in Cardedeu, they originally opened the space as a Consciousness-Raising institution in 2013. Later, they transformed it into a “zero centimetre” restaurant, as they like to call it. Over the years, it’s become a benchmark restaurant in the area for organic cuisine made from locally sourced produce. It’s also gained a slow-food accreditation and has more recently expanded their offering with the Brots space, which serves local craft beer. Here, you’ll only eat healthy and 100% organic produce fresh from their vegetable garden, which is transported about 20 metres from the earth to the plate.
