The owner Ramon comes from a family with a long seafaring tradition,
comprised of more than eight generations of fishermen. His
forefathers opened a beach bar in Sant Pol in 1895 where they served
fresh fish which they’d caught themselves that day. Nowadays, the
owner no longer goes fishing. He does, however, know the produce
inside out, which he always buys from well-regarded fishermen, in
turn respecting what the sea provides every day. El Peix Grillat is
the culmination of all these years of experience, and Ramon knows
all too well the grill is what best preserves the pure taste of the fish.
The chefs cook on a special open barbeque, where customers can
watch them chargrill the fish with various types of salt and olive oil –
healthy but with a unique touch.
