Located in the old coal cellar of Sant Gervasi, Casa Jordi has been serving quality food and drinks made from the best local ingredients for the last half a century. The current owner, Francesc, remembers when his father worked in this former accountant’s restaurant. The previous owner, Jordi Piquer, opened it in 1968, and his clientele mainly consisted of actors from the local theatres who would come to enjoy a delicious meal together. Casa Jordi puts plenty of emphasis on their quality and seasonal produce, while still retaining the traditional recipes of the olden days. Everything is run like clockwork, with impeccable service, clean tables, and tasteful décor that features old-world wooden furniture and walls clad with traditional Catalan tiles. Be sure to try the steak tartar or the fricandó, while leaving room for the tasty Catalan soup.
