Can Rubies was founded in 1979 by a married couple comprised of Josep Rubies in the kitchen, and Maria Carmen as the dining room director. These days, Maria Carmen continues to run the place herself with her son, David Rubies, who has inherited the passion of his parents. Located in the heart of the Lleida countryside, Can Rubies is a charming chargrill restaurant where diners can enjoy traditional Lleida cuisine. Facilities include a large sports complex with a playground, two indoor football courts (one of which is covered) and a big terrace where clients can reconnect with nature. Among its most important dishes are the stone cooked vegetables, the roast ternasco style goat, and typical land specialties such as snails and “calçots”.
