Some 75 years ago, this establishment was a small town store where grandfather Josep worked as a barber, while grandmother Maria worked a small tapas restaurant. Sometimes they would host parties here, dancing to an old barrel piano. Over the years, they expanded the establishment and the menu, garnering a reputation among seasonal summer residents and local mushroom foragers. Later they passed the business on to their children Francesc and Àngela, who are the parents of the current owner, Josep, who now runs the restaurant with his wife, Maria Antònia. Traditional home-style Catalan dishes adorn the menu, all of which is made from seasonal produce. The meat comes from Girona, the lamb from the village butcher shop, and the vegetables from grandmother’s garden which she tenders with great love and care.
