The third generation of the Piñana family, Joana and Conxi, run this restaurant in the center of L’Ampolla that sits right in front of the sea. Founded by their grandfather, Can Piñana was originally a meeting point for local fishermen. These days, Conxi still uses the traditional recipes of his mother in the kitchen, while Joana, the sommelier, is responsible for providing exquisite service in the dining room. The interior is separated from the sea by floor to ceiling windows, while a large terrace affords spectacular bay and marina views. All house specialties include seafood, from which the rice with lobster and the brill “suquet” stand out, as does the calamari a la romana, a recipe that goes back three generations.
