With proud tradition, this restaurant has gone through four generations of the same family. A modest establishment at first, it was opened by the great-grandparents about a hundred years ago. Little by little, the restaurant has been restored and extended. Grandmother Maria, who was an excellent chef, stood behind the stove and grew the business by following traditional Catalan recipes with utmost dedication to her craft. Her adopted daughter Rita gave her a helping hand and stayed on working with the family. Later, her daughter, who was also called Maria, continued to devote hours to the kitchen until it became a benchmark in the region. Maria’s three children – Dolors, David, and Elvira – now run the restaurant with the same philosophy: traditional and timeless dishes, quality produce, and welcoming home-style service.
