This is the oldest family restaurant in all of Girona city. In 1955, grandparents Ramon and Pilar opened a grocery store here that doubled as an inn. The current owner’s parents carried on the business and, little by little, they redecorated the premises and oriented it entirely towards gastronomy. His son Pere and his wife, Vanessa, now run the place. It’s an elegant and cosy restaurant known throughout Girona for its friendly and homely service as well as Vanessa’s traditional regional cuisine. The establishment specialises in chargrilled meat and fish made from fresh locally sourced produce. However, many of their best dishes are of traditional Catalan cuisine such as cod tripe with artichokes and peas, pig’s ears with chickpeas, and rabbit casserole.
